PROSPECT DEVELOPMENT SOARS FORWARD
  

While the newest homes have broken ground at Crested Butte Mountain Resort's (CBMR) premier ski-in/ski-out development, the infrastructure and new skier terrain is complete at Prospect, Phase 1.

The Prospect lift is complete and will be operational this winter, serving three new trails and fifteen intermediate acres at CBMR. Prospect homeowners also have direct access to skier terrain via the existing Gold Link, Painter Boy and Teocalli ski lifts. Roads accessing the 400 acres of slopeside property are paved throughout Phase 1. Skier bridges that allow convenient access to homesites are complete and boast classy architectural style.

Prospect is bordered by ranchland and the national forest, combining ski-in/ski-out convenience with a rare feeling of remoteness. The new development wraps around the northwestern flanks of CBMR, looking down into the East River Valley and beyond to the Maroon Bells Snowmass Wilderness Area. Homesites, which average just over an acre, are carefully planned to maintain views, natural terrain features and a sense of seclusion.

In addition to premier skier access, Prospect also boasts other key amenities including 276 acres of open spaces, on call, dial-a-ride shuttle service, 12 miles of trails: alpine, Nordic biking and hiking.

Individual home construction has begun on four of the 38 homesites in Prospect's Phase 1, of which only five lots remain, two of which are currently under contract. The first 14 Prospect lots closed in July 2002, representing the largest single-lot sales transaction in Gunnison County history.
